Being a ‘Sweet Pin-Up’ with Vive Maria

During my career as a vintage-model, I came across the brand Vive Maria several times. In the first place, I fancied the wide range of vintage-inspired lingerie. I think that the lingerie collections of Vive Maria found the right balance between being romantic and playful, but also very seductive.

Since 1997, Vive Maria stands for sensuality and temptation. According to the motto ‘forbidden couture’, the brand provides an unique supply of vintage-inspired lingerie, pretty summer dresses, colorful shirts and blouses, as well as cuddly pajamas.

You can shop all these amazing collection at the Nastrovje Potsdam (Napo-Shop). The online shop carries a fashion-potpourri of nerdy merchandise, casual coolness, punkrock, Disney magic and, of course, romantic nostalgia.

You can imagine how happy I was when I got asked to write about one of the lingerie sets called ‘Sweet Pin-Up’. The set came with a matching babydoll negligee.

 

When I put on the set fo­­r the first time, I immediately noticed a difference to all the other vintage lingerie in my wardrobe. That typically includes girdles, bras and corsets with a fitted shape. Most of the time, it feels like they’re cutting into my skin, but this uncomfortable version of lingerie is part of every of my vintage outfits. The advantage of this shapewear is its magic of letting every tiny fat pad disappear – and that’s totally fine and it works for me! But sometimes, I’m missing the comfort in vintage-inspired lingerie.

Vive Maria’s ‘Sweet Pin-Up’ set doesn’t cut into my skin and gives my body enough space to move. The bra is neither underwired nor padded. Nevertheless, the top and the panty fit tightly and define my body figure perfectly. So, there is the balance I mentioned above – a balance between well designed lingerie that makes you look very sensual and lingerie that is suitable for every day… and every night. After all, I wouldn’t lie down to sleep in my tight girdle and corset :D

One thing I really like about this set it the attention to detail. That includes the delicate ribbons and ruffles as well as the lace-trimmed hem of the negligee. The floral lace and pink shades bring you some springtime vibes. Furthermore, the fabrics are soft as velvet and don’t scratch. They make you feel very comfortable in your skin, in my opinion.

Besides the cheerful finesse and the comfort, there is another aspect that is very important to me when it comes to fashion – the retro flair. The vintage-inspired cuts make the ‘Sweet Pin-Up’ set even more interesting. The panty has a slight high waist cut and the top has a triangle cut, which I find very exciting.

My resumé: The Vive Maria lingerie is made for every girl and every woman. You can wear them in your cozy bed or at the office – because you never know when you’ll feel the need to seduce someone ;)

Vive Maria – Verboten verführerisch

Ich bin während meiner Laufbahn als Vintage-Model öfter auf das Label Vive Maria gestoßen. Dabei ist mir in erster Linie das einzigartige Angebot an Retro-Lingerie ins Auge gefallen. Ich finde, dass die Wäsche von Vive Maria eine perfekte Balance zwischen verspielter Vintage-Romantik und sinnlicher Verführung schafft.

Seit 1997 stehen Sinnlichkeit und Versuchung für die Marke Vive Maria. Unter dem Motto „forbidden Couture“ bietet das Label aber nicht nur Vintage-Wäsche, sondern auch hübsche Sommerkleider, verspielte Shirts und Blusen, sowie kuschelige Pyjamas an.

Seine Heimat hat das Label im Shop von Nastrovje Potsdam (kurz Napo-Shop) gefunden. Der Napo-Shop führt eine bunte Mode-Mischung aus nerdigem Merchandise, casual Coolness, Punkrock, Disney-Zauber und eben auch romantischer Nostalgie.

Ich fiel aus allen Wolken, als ich gefragt wurde, ob ich das Wäsche-Set sowie das dazugehörige Negligee mit dem passenden Namen „Sweet Pin-Up“ probetragen möchte.

Als ich das Set zum ersten Mal trug, merkte ich sofort den Unterschied zur sonstigen Retro-Lingerie in meinem Kleiderschrank. Dabei handelt es sich überwiegend um eng geschnittene, teilweise bereits einschnürende Hüfthalter, Korsagen und BHs. Diese meist weniger komfortable Variante der Unterwäsche gehört jedoch irgendwie unter jedes meiner Outfits. Sie zaubern jedes noch so kleine Fettpölsterchen weg und das ist auch völlig in Ordnung. Doch bequem ist anders.

Das „Sweet Pin-Up“ Set schnürt nicht ein und lässt meinem Körper viel Freiraum. Der BH-Teil des Oberteils hat zum Beispiel keine Bügel oder Polster. Trotzdem liegen Oberteil und Höschen ziemlich eng an und definieren so meine Körperfigur. Hier gibt es also die bereits erwähnte Balance – zwischen gut geschnittener Wäsche, die jeden Frauenkörper sinnlich aussehen lässt und bequemer Wäsche, die alltagstauglich ist. Schließlich würde ich nie auf die Idee kommen, mich mit meinem engen Hüftgürtel Schlafen zu legen :D

Bei diesem Set gefällt mir besonders die Liebe zum Detail. Dazu gehören die filigranen Schleifen und Rüschen, sowie der spitzenbesetzte Saum des Negligees. Und die blumige Spitze in zartrosa lässt den Frühling ins heimische Schlafzimmer einkehren. Darüber hinaus sind die verarbeiteten Stoffe samtweich, kratzen nicht und fühlen sich einfach gut auf der Haut an.

Neben der verspielten Raffinesse und der Bequemlichkeit steht für mich ein weiterer Aspekt im Vordergrund – der Retro-Flair. Die vintage-inspirierten Schnitte machen das „Sweet Pin-Up“ Set für mich umso interessanter. Der leichte High-Waist-Schnitt des Höschens und der Triangel-Schnitt des Oberteils verleihen dem Set seinen aufregenden Charakter.

Mein Fazit: Die Wäsche von Vive Maria ist für jede Frau gemacht. Man kann sie wunderbar im kuschligen Bett und im Büro-Alltag tragen – man weiß letztendlich nie, wann man in Versuchung gerät, jemanden zu verführen ;)
